Some institutions and banks offer storage facilities, however these are usually expensive. In some cases there may be additional charges for access so, in response to our clients demands, we have established a low cost option. The vast majority of our clients are currently enjoying these benefits.
• WillCare begins with a follow-up after your documents have been sent. We make sure you have received them; that you are happy with the content and that you get the documents signed and returned as soon as possible.
• We check that your documents are correctly signed and witnessed - they are replaced free of charge if not.
• We store all documents in a fire safe, secure environment until they are needed.
• We provide you with certificates of deposit which you can leave with your Executors, your guardians or your friends, this ensures they know where your original documents are being kept and outlines what action they will need to take when the documents are needed.
• You may access your documents at any time.
• When you die we provide your Executors with free advice and a booklet detailing their duties.
• Should your Executors choose, we can assist with probate and the general administration of your estate. This is quoted in advance on a set fee scale and could save your estate many hundreds of pounds.
• We provide a copy of your Will for you to keep at home.
• You should review your Will from time to time. If your circumstances alter, or if there is a change in the law, the Will may need changing too. If you should need to amend your Will in the future then this can often be done in correspondence or by email at a greatly reduced cost and often free of charge.
• To help you decide whether you need to make changes, English Wills publishes a periodical newsletter. This contains vital information on changes in the legislation that may affect your estate and also serves as a memory-jogger, for when your circumstances have changed.
• WillCare clients may call us for technical help and advice/guidance on changes in legislation and/or personal circumstances.
